"ECHOES OF RECKONING" READER REVIEWS
In Ron Shaw’s debut Novel, “Echoes of Reckoning”, we follow Clayton (Clay) Mitchell, an average man, who up until the point of death, lived a pretty unremarkable life.
The story is told in the first person, which draws you in right away. Clay begins his story by giving you a little of his back story, which includes meeting the love of his life, who predeceases him. When Clay meets an untimely death himself, he is determined to find his love and defy death to ultimately take back the life that was taken from them. Clay finds himself stuck in Limbo/Purgatory in a strange new reality. The journey he embarks on, the atmosphere of purgatory, and the souls that he encounters while in this new existence (both the living and the dead), will leave you reevaluating your own choices in life.
Ron did a brilliant job setting the scene, developing his characters, and drawing the reader in. I was reminded of readings from Dante, and C.S. Lewis, with a little bit of the movie “The Crow” mixed in. This novel is a definite page turner that I was unable to put down!
Highly Recommend!

Couldn’t put it down!
Echoes of Reckoning is well written keeping you on the edge of your seat with the twist and turns it takes you down. The story of Clay and Ava reminded me to live life to the fullest every day as you don’t know what tomorrow will bring. I enjoyed reading Echoes of Reckoning and cannot wait for more books from Ron Shaw.
